Under supervision of senior technical staff, provide technical expertise and support related to battery development and manufacturing. Solve problems with new or existing battery products, including battery cell testing, battery product design, material selection, or manufacturing processes. Utilize knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards and product design, materials and parts to improve battery module manufacturing processes or reduce battery module costs. Develop and research battery reliability and battery management system technical parameters through testing. Requires Master’s degree in manufacturing systems engineering, mechanical engineering or electrical engineering and 6 months experience as a Research Assistant, Student Intern, Student Associate or related. Computer aided design CAD software; Computer aided manufacturing CAM software-CNC Mastercam; 3D Printing; Must have completed the Six Sigma Green Belt Course.
