Yes. The 314Ah WallMount is compatible with the 280Ah form factor and cross-compatible with other EG4 models, so it slots into existing systems for flexible scaling. Auto-ID technology recognises and syncs new batteries during installation, which simplifies setup.
How many EG4 314Ah batteries do I need for whole home backup?
Each unit is 16kWh with 200A continuous output and 12.8kW peak, enough to support heavy household loads on its own. One covers essential circuits and short outages. Two or more suits an all-electric home or multi-day backup. Size it against your daily kWh use.
Does the EG4 indoor battery work with the FlexBOSS21?
Yes. It is UL 9540 certified for grid-tied closed-loop communication with both the FlexBOSS18 and FlexBOSS21. For off-grid non-UL 9540 installs it works with all BigBattery APEX inverters and all EG4 inverters.
Indoor or All-Weather: what is the actual difference?
The Indoor version is IP20 rated and built for protected spaces such as garages, basements and utility rooms, with hybrid wall or floor mounting. The All-Weather version is built for outdoor exposure. Both are 314Ah, roughly 16kWh, with self-heating and 8,000+ cycles.
