Can I use one 24V battery instead of two 12V batteries?
Yes, and it is usually the better build. A single 24V 200Ah battery gives you the same 5.12kWh as two 12V units in series, with one BMS managing the whole pack and only one battery to install. Your inverter, charger and any DC loads all need to be 24V rated.
Is 24V better than 12V for an RV?
For anything above about 2,000W of inverter load, yes. At 24V you draw half the current for the same power, which means thinner cable, less voltage drop and less heat. 12V still makes sense for smaller builds and for rigs where the existing wiring and appliances are all 12V.
Does the 24V Husky 2 work with Victron?
Yes. The INV version supports closed-loop communication over CANBus and RS485 and is designed for 24V Victron inverter systems such as the MultiPlus-II 24/3000. Closed loop means the inverter reads real state of charge from the BMS rather than estimating from voltage.
How long does a 5.12kWh battery last?
An RV drawing around 200W continuously runs roughly 24 hours on a full charge. Running a 13,500 BTU air conditioner through an inverter gives about 4 to 6 hours. Across its life the battery is built for thousands of cycles and backed by a 12-year warranty.
Is this battery suitable for cold weather and marine use?
