Does the Husky 2 INV talk to the EG4 6000XP?
Yes. The 48V Husky 2 INV supports closed-loop communication with EG4 6000XP and 12000XP systems, as well as Victron MultiPlus-II 3000 and 5000 units. The inverter reads true state of charge from the BMS instead of estimating from voltage, which keeps monitoring accurate.
Husky 2 INV or PWR: which do I need?
INV includes inverter communication and is built for RV, van, off-grid and backup systems with an inverter. PWR is the high-power motive version without communication, intended for golf carts and standalone applications. If there is an inverter in your build, choose INV.
Can I use the Husky 2 INV with a Victron MultiPlus?
Yes. It is listed as compatible with Victron MultiPlus-II 3000 and 5000 systems via communication protocols. Both the 48/3000/35-50 and the 48/5000/70-95 are 48V units that pair with this battery.
How many 48V Husky batteries do I need for a van build?
One 5.12kWh battery covers lights, a fridge, water pump and electronics for most van builds. Two doubles runtime and available current, which matters if you run air conditioning or induction cooking. Add up your daily watt-hours and size for two days of use.
