Frequently Asked Questions
Which batteries does this 48V charger work with?
It is compatible with the 48V HUSKY 2, 48V EAGLE 2, 48V EAGLE and 48V Falcon Elite only. Pairing a charger with the wrong battery risks incorrect charge voltage, so always match the charger to your specific model rather than to voltage alone.
Can I leave a 48V lithium charger outside?
This one is IP65 rated, meaning protected against dust and low-pressure water jets from any direction. It handles rain and washdown, which is why it suits golf carts and outdoor equipment. It is not rated for immersion, so avoid standing water.
How long does it take to charge a 48V battery at 20A?
A 5.12kWh 48V Husky 2 at 100Ah recharges from empty in roughly five to six hours at 20A, allowing for the taper near full. For faster charging on the same battery, the 50A IP65 charger cuts that to around two hours.
How does this charger connect?
It uses M8 ring terminal connections on the DC side and takes 110V or 220V AC input, so it plugs into a standard wall outlet. Output is 57.6V DC at 20A with 91% or better efficiency at full load.
Is 20A fast enough, or should I get the 50A?
20A suits overnight charging of a single battery and costs less. The 50A is the better choice for larger banks, quick turnaround between shifts, or fleets where downtime matters. Both are IP65 rated; the difference is charge speed and price.
