Its configurable single-phase and split-phase output supports standard 120/240V applications, while a typical 10ms switching time helps maintain uninterrupted power when transitioning between available energy sources.

Paired with the NEXUS 2—featuring 16kWh of LiFePO₄ storage, 314Ah capacity, 150A continuous discharge, and up to 7.6kW of continuous battery power—the system is properly sized to support the inverter’s full 6.5kW output. The battery’s 270A one-second peak discharge rating also provides additional current for short equipment-startup demands.

These products are designed for seamless integration. The APEX-6.5K includes a dedicated BigBattery/EG4 BMS communication protocol, allowing it to communicate directly with the NEXUS 2 through RS485 or CAN. Once connected, closed-loop communication allows the inverter to receive battery voltage, state of charge, temperature, charge limits, discharge limits, and protection data directly from the NEXUS 2 BMS.

This coordinated communication helps optimize charging and discharging while protecting the battery from overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, over-temperature, and excessive discharge conditions. Because the inverter follows limits communicated by the NEXUS 2 BMS, the system requires less manual configuration and provides more accurate battery monitoring.

The APEX-6.5K features two independent MPPT channels capable of accepting up to 10,000W of combined solar input, with up to 140A of solar charging current. Separate grid and generator inputs provide flexible supplemental charging and load support, while timed charge and discharge controls allow the system to take advantage of time-of-use electricity rates.

The NEXUS 2 features a rugged IP54-rated floor-standing enclosure, integrated BMS with multiple safety redundancies, and advanced LiFePO₄ cells rated for more than 8,000 cycles. Its indoor/outdoor installation capability and expandable architecture provide dependable energy storage for both residential and remote-power environments.
